Knorr Baby Adoption

Hey guys,
As most of you know Betsy and I have been praying and asking God for a child. We have been trying for almost 6 years as well as insemination. During this time we have been open to adopting because we can't think of a more beautiful thing since God demonstrated the beauty of adoption when He adopted us and we desire to follow His lead. We have had hard days but our faith in the God who controls all things has not wavered and we believe He has made us wait for such a time as this. In the last week and a bit we have heard from a woman who is known by our family who is pregnant and due on April 20th with a baby boy. Due to the mother's right to privacy we will only say that she is not able to raise this child and she has chosen us to adopt him. Thinking we could do what is called a Direct Placement Adoption we started moving forward last week to receive this child the day he is born. After finding out more we learned that Direct Placement (which is a lot cheaper) is not possible since the adoption is from another Province. An operation like this usually takes at least 4 months but we have found an agency ready to work overtime to get this done because the child isn't going to wait to enter the world. It does take a village to raise a child and though we are financially stable to care for a child for the day to day, the full total of the initial adoption costs we are not set up for at this time and are asking our "village" for help right away. So all said and done, it will end up costing about $20,000, though a lot it's less than half of the cost of what a usual adoption where the mother doesn't know you. Though the legalities of this adoption are possible the virus and the short time frame is making it very difficult but the agency doesn't have any worries that this will be done. Full-disclosure, adoptions are never 100% a sure thing until the judge gives you the adoption papers 10 days after the baby is born but we would not be asking for help unless we were very confident in this all going through based on what the agency has told us. If you desire to help out with a gift we simply wouldn't know what to say but a thank you from the depths of our hearts and a promise to raise this child in the ways of the Lord. If a gift is not possible we would gladly be open to entering into the acceptance of a no-interest loan that we could pay back at an agreed upon time, please contact us if this is an option for you.
