Knockadoon Camp is located in Co.Cork and caters to groups who wish to run programmes such as youth camps, retreats and music or language courses. The summer season (June-August) sees approximately 900 young people from all over Ireland pass through the camp each year. We are currently undergoing essential renovation works in order to improve the facilities for all who use them while trying to keep the fees at a minimum.

The current fundraiser is for the installation of dehumidifiers in each of the buildings on the camp. Knockadoon Camp is adjacent to the sea, and as a result of this, humidity is an issue during both the on and off-season. The dehumidifiers will significantly increase the quality of air in the buildings, particularly in the bunkhouses.

There are seven bunkhouses, a canteen and two halls which will be fitted with these units. This means 10 industrial units plus the materials and labor to install them. This adds to a significant total, hence this fundraising to make this project feasible.
