At Knock Knock Give a Sock we collect needed resources, like socks, for communities experiencing homelessness. Since March as a response to COVID-19, we have pivoted to collecting masks for our neighbors living and working in homeless shelters.
Our neighbors living in shelters have little access to masks and often cannot afford them. Our neighbors in the shelters also face great challenges when it comes to social distancing, many are sleep in rooms with beds just several feet apart from one another and are eating in cafeterias that are way too overcrowded. By providing masks for our neighbors in need, we can greatly increase the safety and health of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
