Knauf Insulation Lanett Community Tornado Support
Donation protected
On March 3, 2019, a severe tornado touched down in Alabama’s Lee County. Located 25 miles southwest of Knauf Insulation's Lanett, AL plant, the tornado hit with winds upward of 200 mph. The storm cut a path more than a half-mile wide and left devastating destruction, including the death of at least 23 people and dozens of injuries.
Gratefully, we are happy to report that all Lanett employees survived this deadly storm. However, many of them sustained damage to their homes and property and several have lost loved ones and friends.
Knauf Insulation supports employees and the larger community during this time. Knauf Insulation is working with emergency management officials to determine how best to provide assistance to the community as well as our employees and their families. In the meantime, we are collecting donations to be used to support the recovery efforts of the entire community.
