The “Schools to Shops Project” aims to honor the staff of the Chittenango Central School District this Teacher Appreciation Week by purchasing every staff member, teachers, maintenance workers, bus drivers, and more, a gift certificate to the Chamber of Commerce member business of their choosing. We need your help to make this possible though. Please consider making a donation of any amount to the Project today, any little bit helps. If you can’t make a monetary donation, we understand as well. Please consider sharing the campaign on social media to contribute in that way.
Chittenango has been one of the few school districts in Central New York to remain safely open every single day for in-person learning this school year. This incredible feat would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of every one of the district's 385 staff members, teachers, aides, administrators, nurses, food service, and maintenance workers. Every year, the first week of May is designated National Teacher Appreciation Week, so why not show everyone at the schools just how much we appreciate that hard work?
While we're honoring everyone who made this school year possible, why not also help another group that has had to do a lot of extra work over the last year: small business owners. With your donation, the Chamber and PTA will be able to purchase $10 gift certificates for each of the school's staff members from the many local businesses that are members of the Chamber. This alone will directly inject nearly $4,000 into the local economy!
Thanks to commitments from a number of local organizations, we've already nearing our goal. With your help we can meet this goal and properly honor so many of the people who make our community so special!
Thank you so much for you contribution, we greatly appreciate it.
