Our lives were forever changed on February 2, 2024 when our sweet Gideon came [unexpectedly] stumbling into our hearts and lives. Though we thought our time together would be temporary — “just for the weekend” initially — it has become very clear that this beautiful boy is meant to become a permanent part of the West family.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Gideon, you’ve likely been immediately drawn in by his big brown eyes and wide smile — gifts given by his beautiful mama. You’d probably comment on the fact that, at 18 months old, he was already the size of a 2 year old … you might even say he’s destined to be a football player one day. One thing’s for sure: the Lord has had His hand on Gideon since he was knit together inside his mother’s womb.

Now, if you know anything about our story, you know that Robert’s been in school (and we’ve been a one income family) since May of 2023. Financially, this is the worst time to adopt Gideon! However, we faithfully believe that God wants to use this opportunity to one day minister to our boy and show him what it looks like when the body of Christ comes together for a cause. It would be our pleasure and delight if you’d be so willing to partner with us as we seek to accomplish this hope and privilege.
