❤️ Why It Matters
For 13 years, Collective Space on Sterling Road has been a vital hub for Toronto’s dance community - a small, artist-run social enterprise offering affordable, flexible space for creation, rehearsal, and performance.
This space has enabled Anandam and countless others to create high-quality, fully realized choreographic works that enrich our city, province, and country - and have toured internationally.
While we’ve had to leave the Sterling building due to its condition, we know the true spirit of Collective Space lives in its people; and we’re bringing that same energy, care, and creativity to our new home at 101 Florence.
Our Next Chapter
We’re proud to welcome a new cohort of Co-Directors, who will guide and energize this next phase of Collective Space:
Brandy Leary / Anandam
Harikishan S Nair / Regatta Kala Kendra
Travis & Tanya Knights / Tap Love Tour
Mafa Makhubalo / Mafa Dance Village
Sukriti Sharma / Sukriti Kathakaar
Prajakta Dravid / Ātmikā Kathak
Angela Vitovec / Angela Schubot
Together, this collective will shape a space rooted in collaboration, care, and artistic excellence.
