Kitten Incubator in Memory of Hank

Donation protected
Over  the  past  4  years,  I  have  fostered  well  over  a  hundred orphaned  kittens for Juliet’s House Animal Rescue.  I  know  all too well that  the survival  rate  for  orpahned  neonates  is  never  100%,  even  with  the  best  possibble  care.  Still, our most recent foster Hank's  death  broke  my  heart. I've  spent  the  past  month  researching how  to  provide the  best  critical care to  neonates  -  trying  to  learn  new things  that  I  can  use  to  save  the  lives  of  kittens  in  the  future.

One  thing  that  I  really  think  could  have  made  a  difference  for  Hank  is  an  incubator.  Kittens under 4  weeks of age cannot thermoregulate, and therefore rely completely on an external heat source to keep their body at an appropriate temperature.   Without  their mothers for bodily warmth,  orphaned  kittens  are  extremely vulnerable to  hypothermia.   An  incubator would  allow me   to  provide  our  foster  kittens with  a  consistent  and precise temperature  controlled  environment  and  give  them  the  best  chance possible to survive  and thrive.

If  you  are  able  and  willing  to  contribute any  amount  towards  the  purchase of  an  incubator,  I  would  be  immensely grateful.  The  recommended model  costs  about  $1,000  -  which  I  know  is  very  expensive-  but  I  hope  it  will  help  us  to  save  many  lives.  Thank  you  from  the  bottom  of  my  heart.
