Kitmas hopes to brighten the Christmas of many children in the UK, by collecting and distributing football shirts to kids who may not otherwise receive presents this year.
This Christmas, more families than ever before will struggle to afford gifts for their children due to increased financial worries caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Any football fan has childhood memories of the joy and excitement of pulling on a new kit, and Kitmas aims to spread that happiness around the country.
Working with regional community groups, we will distribute football shirts to those who will benefit most, making sure that as many children as possible have something to open on Christmas Day.
How can you help?
There are two ways you can help brighten a child’s Christmas with a new football shirt.
1. DONATE A SHIRT
Around the country hundreds of pre-loved football shirts will be sitting in cupboards and wardrobes once children have grown out of them. Kitmas will happily accept any football shirt in a child size. We ask only that the kit is in good condition and something you can imagine a child wanting to wear. To register your shirt for rehoming and find out how to get it to us, simply drop a line to KitmasAppeal at gmail.com
2. DONATE MONEY
100% of donations will be used to buy new shirts that can be given to children on Christmas Day. The more money we can collect, the more shirts we can buy. Thanks to your remarkable generosity we're already getting the first allocation bought. The way it works is that I (Mark) personally withdraw the funds from here and transfer them to my brother (Paul) who uses them to buy old shirts and distribute them to community centres and organisations across the country. We've already got enough to cheer the Christmases of roughly 250 kids, but we are very far from stopping. Thank you!!
