Kit out for kids and families in Manjimup!
Help us help our families and kids in Manjimup! Manjimup Family Centre has been serving our community for 40 years, and provided playgroups, parenting courses, help, advice, child development groups and groups for teenagers and young mothers as well activities and support for members of the wider community.
We recently secured grants to extend our transportable building to include toilet, kitchen, offices and additional storage. It looks fantastic but is a little bare at the moment! We would like to raise money to buy:
*a fridge
*washing machine and dryer for all of the washing created by our
playgroups, toddler cooking groups etc
*table and chairs
*sofa for our waiting area
*chairs for the counselling office
*plates, cutlery etc for the kitchen
*office furniture to provide a professional space for visiting services
We will have many users of the building, all of whom will benefit, these include children and parents helped by visiting counselling and parenting services, clients of visiting complimentary therapies practitioners, photo club, Tai Chi, self defence groups for women and seniors, as well as our German and Italian communities who access our foreign language movie nights. .
Our transportable building has been used by all kinds of community groups over the years and has helped, supported and enabled a huge number of people. We envisage that this building will serve our community for many more years to come
We want to have the building fully equipped and ready to go by 10th May which is our grand opening. We would be so grateful to see this building properly equipped, it looks lovely already but desperately needs furniture to complete the project. So if you, your family or anyone you know has ever benefited from using Manjimup Family Centre, or if you just want to support the families, parents and community in our wonderful town please donate. Every little will help, even a dollar will buy a fork or a spoon!!!! Please share this through all of your networks and together we can make this a community facility to be proud of!
