Kinship’s New Home: Built for Mentoring, Rooted in Community

Tax deductible
Help Kinship of Tomahawk Renovate a New Home for Local Youth

For 28 years, Kinship of Tomahawk has provided mentoring opportunities to youth and families in our community. Over 500 children have been impacted by our programs—and today, our need to expand is greater than ever.

We’ve officially outgrown our current space.

Our tutoring sessions, after-school programs, and mentor meetups are overflowing with energy, purpose, and kids who need a place to belong. To continue serving the youth of the greater Tomahawk area and to grow our programs, we’re stepping into a bold new chapter—and we need your help.

Thanks to the support of many, we have purchased the historic Bradley Bank building on Main Street.

This iconic building has long been a pillar in Tomahawk, and with your support, it will soon become the new home of Kinship: a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for children, families, and mentors to connect, learn, and thrive.

What This New Building Will Make Possible:

This larger, dedicated space will allow us to:

  • Expand our tutoring and academic support programs
  • Provide a dedicated space for mentor-mentee meetups and group activities
  • Host life skills classes for youth (cooking, budgeting, career prep, etc.)
  • Offer family support services, including parent workshops and resource nights
  • Create community events and after-school programming
  • Open new youth leadership opportunities and peer-led initiatives
  • Provide private meeting rooms for guidance, support, and referrals

In short, this new building means more kids served, more families supported, and more lasting impact.

Our Updated Total Goal: $100,000

To continue the retrofit of the building to be able to safely provide programming and services to the youth and families in our community.

Phase 1 – $300,000: Building Purchase
COMPLETED!!!

Phase 2 – $75,000: Interior Retrofit
We still need about $75,000 for safety updates, furniture, appliances, and technology to support tutoring, mentoring, and youth gatherings

Phase 3 – $25,000: Exterior Space
Create greenspace and build a garage for program support and outdoor activities (funds for the fencing has been received)

Every dollar you give brings us closer to opening our doors to more kids and expanding our life-changing impact in the Tomahawk community.
