Brandon Reese/Kingsmen community fund
Many are aware of the mass devastation on the Asheville, NC, community. The Kingsmen Quartet are no exception, as our organization suffered some damages to the home of Ray Dean Reese, and also to our storage building. We are thankful, however, that our losses are minimal and all of our staff members and families are safe! Having said that, our ministry losses are among the least of our concerns.
The neighborhood subdivision of Kingsmen manager Brandon Reese, in Swannanoa, NC, has particularly suffered some severe setbacks. Power and water are out completely in this community for a projected six to eight weeks, with supplies dwindling and several families in the neighborhood, including Brandon’s wife Shannon, unable to return to work for an even longer span of time. Temporary unemployment compensation is very minimal, plus under heavy delay.
As a result of this tragedy, Brandon Reese and the Kingsmen are beginning a fund to help his community and our ministry in the following ways:
• By purchasing food and supplies for neighborhood residents
• Providing funds to help cover the expenses of families in the neighborhood who are currently without jobs due to the devastation.
• Thereby reach out and minister to members of the local Asheville community.
• Lastly, and if feasible, replace the damaged materials lost by the Reese Families and the Kingsmen. Many have lost more than us.
While we have a rather high goal listed (we have not if we ask not), we simply wish to contribute to our local community in whatever way possible, whether the amount be more or less than the posted goal. We pledge and promise to you that every penny will be put towards the purpose of recovering from the hurricane damage.
We thank you for your love and continued support, as we now try to minister to our home community through more than just the music.
