Euroa Kindness Charity

Hello,

 

My name is John and I am a primary school teacher and our class name is Euroa. In our class we call ourselves a family. We work together, spend lots of time together and are there to support one another.

Upon returning to face to face learning our class had lots of conversations, reflecting on our time from at home learning. In one of our chats we spoke about some time we felt a little helpless. We talked about what was and still is in our circle of control and how we can still make a positive influence to people and the world around us.

I asked the students what they can do to help others and then an amazing conversation happened. Students told me how they have helped others before and how they wish to help others again. They spoke of their own ventures and ways they raise money to help those in need.

 

So naturally, we decided to make learning come to life by creating our very own charity. It is called Euroa's Kindness Charity (EKC)  One that gives back to groups that were close to our heart. We have nominated 6 charities- Team Sea, Wollongong Children's Ward (Hospital), Frame Running Wollongong, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,  Best Friends For Ever Rescue Illawarra and The Leukaemia Foundation.

Hello, We would love your help. We have worked together for the past few weeks to come up with 3 fundraiser. 
1- An Art Show- We will be creating art work to sell to our local school community.  
2- A 50km Marathon- We will moving around our school to work together on this huge distance. 
3- A Hair Fundraiser- We will be holding a crazy hair day at school, with Mr Penno to cut off his man bun. 

Mr Penno has had on hair cut in the last 7 years (and it was only for his wedding). We have enjoyed working on this so much. We have a finance, PR and design team. We have loved working on his and would love your support so we can make a difference.
