Kindness for Alfred Johns

We are Beyond Your Walls, a mobile shower trailer serving the unsheltered community in Wicomico and Worcester Counties. Alfred Johns, is a friend that we have known for many years, and we interact with him weekly. As many of you know, Alfred Johns saved a 7 year old boy from drowning in Salisbury, back in September. Here is the story posted by Eastern Shore Undercover:

"On Sept. 13, 2023, at around 4:00 PM, we posted a call for a water rescue on W. Main Street in Salisbury, Maryland, where a 7-year old nearly drowned. The young man was pulled out of the water and rescued by a bystander but at the time, what we didn't know at the time, was the hero that saved this young man was a local homeless man by the name Mr. Alfred Johns.

The mother of the young man found Mr. Johns and wanted to share a photo of him with her son. Not all hero's wear capes and they come in every fathom of life.

This man, Mr. Alfred Johns, is a hero! Thank you for helping and potentially saving this young mans life!"

After this story came out, so many people wanted to help Alfred. We talked with Alfred and got his permission, to start this GoFundMe to help him get funding for housing. Every dollar donated will go to Alfred, to assist with getting him out of homelessness.
