Kimpton Clocktower Giving For Good Month!
It is Giving for Good Month here at Kimpton Clocktower which not only means we give back to our amazing employees at the hotel but also to projects within our community which is a huge part of Our Kimpton Culture.
Our main part of our Charity Month will be taking part in the Manchester 10km on the 26th September. Ten of our amazing team members will be getting on their running trainers and heading out round the city on one of Manchester's biggest running events. Our aim is to raise over £1000 for our Charity Partner George House Trust.
George House Trust has been providing HIV support, advice and advocacy services to improve health outcomes since 1985 within Greater Manchester. and are a service user centered organisation, with a diverse team of highly trained and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. They are one of Kimpton Clocktower's Charity Partnership and along with other charities, Covid-19 has also impacted their ability to fund raise etc. and we want to help them as much as we can.
We have also decided, in the lead up to the run, that this year we are going to attempt to walk the distance of walking in a loop round the four UK Kimpton Properties. So from Kimpton Fitzroy, up to Blythswood then over to Charlotte Square then down to the Clocktower and back to the Fitzroy, just under 1300 km. We will do this by placing a treadmill in our stunning reception between the 20th and 24th September and take turns between the employees doing part of the walk. Not only that but our Housekeepers will keep us up to date with their step count daily and this will also be added to our total. This walk is in aid of not only George House Trust but also Calm and Hospitality Action.
Walk for Calm was created by Calm with Hospitality Action to raise funds to help people who are struggling with their not only physical but mental well being especially over the last 2 years and the devastating impact Covid-19 has had across the whole of hospitality so we will donate part of our total to them aswell.
