Spende geschützt
Hi, my name is Eddie Sengendo. As a nine-year-old boy, I lived at the homeless shelter at St. Vincent de Paul for two and a half years. I believe now known as Father Joe's Village. My stay there allowed me to find hope for myself. Hope that I could have never discovered if someone had not given me the opportunity for shelter and a warm meal.
My dream during the stay and after leaving was to someday do something similar for someone out there somewhere. That somewhere ended up being Uganda.
Oh boy, it took 11 years to reach we are today. There were many months I knew it would never happen but just gave it another month of trying. And a decade plus later here we are.
The campus can house about 100 kids. The facility is new along with the school. We need the funds for finishing construction, furnishing, classroom material, solar, electricity, cafeteria, painting, kids' clothing, and medical for the children.
We have raised $755,000. We have had some awesome people who have been incredible supporters.
Just like I was at 9, they are just happy to have a wonderful loving home with an opportunity for an education.
With the new building in place, we are currently housing 16 children and with your thoughtful donation, we will be able to house even more children.
