The Aughrim Kilmore History Society is seeking to raise approximately €5,000 to carry out urgent repairs to the roof of Kilmore Church, which was damaged during Storm Eowyn. The storm dislodged part of the chimney, causing stones to fall onto the footpath in the graveyard below. Other stones remain trapped in the guttering and are at risk of falling, while the remaining section of the chimney is unstable. For safety reasons, the affected pathway has been cordoned off and is currently inaccessible. We are urgently appealing for donations to help cover the cost of these essential repairs. All contributions, no matter the size, will be gratefully received and acknowledged.
