Kilimanjaro climb and Leeds Half marathon for Student Minds
Hi everyone, I'm Eleanor, I'm from Aberdeen and currently a 2nd year student at the University of Leeds. I will be taking on the amazing challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro along with my good friend Rosa to raise money for the UK's charity, Student Minds. The fundraising journey to date has consisted of: an ice bath everyday in December, a bake sale, a charity netball tournament and a quiz night. My final fundraising event will be...
unfortunately not running the Leeds Half Marathon on the 11th May but my sister Jess is replacing me and saving the day!!!!! I have had a rough training journey due to developing shin splints and then spraining my ankle badly at varsity which meant I had to sadly pull out. I am gutted but Jess running in my place (after running the London marathon 2 WEEKS AGO!!) means I can still be a part of the amazing event, thanks icon. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and thank you to everyone's support so far! Follow @girlsonkili on instagram to follow along with Rosa's and I's journey!!
Student Minds empowers students and members of the university community to look after their own mental health, support others and create change. University is a time that comes with change and challenges. This is where Student Minds comes in! The charity is based in Leeds where I can see first hand the amazing work they do for students in the area where I live and study and all over the UK. Student minds provides free 24/7 support for yourself or if you are seeking help for a friend as well as sharing other anonymous students stories to ensure you are not alone.
No student should be held back by their mental health.
