In October this year, both myself and my better half, Luc will be taking on the big old hike up Mount Kilimanjaro with our lovely friends at Bates Body Factory. This is a huge challenge for us both and something we are really excited for!

When Georgie and Jonathan at Bates mentioned the possibility of doing this once in a lifetime climb, both myself and Luc were interested but unsure on committing to such a huge challenge. After a few weeks of thinking about it we thought why not, you only get to live this life once and its often too short, something my family sadly is far too familiar with!

As some of you will be aware, I devastatingly lost my dad to a sudden heart attack back in 2011. The 6th of February 2026 will mark 15 years since his passing and what better way to celebrate his life than climbing to the highest peak in Africa!

A lot of training and resilience is going to go into this hike but i couldn't think of anyone better to do it with than Luc right by my side, I know my dad would be incredibly proud of the both of us doing this together and i have no doubt, he will be pushing and supporting us all the way to the top!
