Kilimanjaro Climb for Wildlife Conservation
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott.
I am an American architect who will be traveling to Eastern Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro during February 2020 in an effort to raise money for wildlife conservation and awareness in Africa. As an architect, I have developed a passion for the conservation of sustainable habitats and communities for animals and people alike. Both my sister, father, and friends have inspired me to travel abroad, and take part in this challenge.
The organization I am supporting is the Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy in Zimbabwe. Imire creates awareness internationally of the wildlife and poaching crisis which threatens Zimbabwe and Africa, and the obstacles faced by local communities and conservation organizations.
After the Kilimanjaro climb, I will be traveling to Zimbabwe to volunteer with Imire and the surrounding community for several weeks. As a volunteer, I will be involved daily with the first-hand care of endangered rhinos and elephants. I will help pioneer important research into behaviors and habits of all wildlife within the camp, get involved in anti-poaching efforts, conservancy management and maintenance, and undertake conservation awareness and education in local communities.
I appreciate any support and donations you can give to me on behalf of my efforts to help raise money and create awareness for wildlife conservation in Africa.
Thank you for your support and kindness.
