Hello friends,

As most of you could not escape my social media posts of our African holiday, you’ll likely know that we had the privilege of visiting the Kikurukur Primary school in the Maasai Mara area of Kenya.

We were amazed at their resilience and what they have achieved with such little resources. Unfortunately due to the lack of government support, everything they are able to do is through the help of the community and in particular, foreigners.

The families are struggling to put food on the table, so schooling can be a challenge.

This fundraiser is for the ongoing efforts to support the Kikurukur Primary school, to help give these kids a chance by contributing to the supply of their basic needs.

Athe moment, the pressing issue is the broken water pump.

They pump water from a nearby spring to provide ground water for the school and

they currently do not have access to clean drinking water either.

No water is obviously a problem.

Our goal is to first fix the water pump, THEN, to purchase a large rainwater tank so they can harvest water during the rainy season.
