On February 10, 2015, Harry Bonet lost his fight with Glioblastoma Multiforme. Harry was a beloved husband and father, as well as a caring doctor to numerous patients during his distinguished career. He was a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for almost 25 years, working in hospitals in Miami and ultimately at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. His passion for helping his patients was palpable to patients, families and coworkers alike. He created lasting relationships with patients throughout the world with mission trips to places such as Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Haiti to provide care for those in need. He truly lived to help others.
Dr. Harry Bonet’s passion was to provide medical care to persons in need around the globe. He participated in numerous medical missions administering pediatric anesthesia to allow surgical reconstruction of congenital deformities, burns, and trauma in the developing world. Harry treasured these opportunities. The goal of the Harry Bonet Travelling Medical Volunteer Fund is to propagate his legacy forward. The monies generated from this fund will sponsor a medical volunteer to participate in a mission in Harry’s name in perpetuity. Additional available monies will purchase medicine and supplies crucial to the mission trips that will directly impact the lives of many sick children all over the world. One of Harry’s last wishes was to participate in a future mission. Please help Harry accomplish this wish in spirit and continue his mission!
