The Be Free campaign is a local charity all about breaking barriers, amplifying young voices, and providing crucial mental health support to children and young people ages 11-25 across Merseyside. They are dedicated to changing the narrative and outcomes for young people, particularly from those from ethnic minority and marginalised communities, ensuring they have access to the resources, guidance, and safe spaces they deserve.

Currently, over 200,00 young people are waiting for mental health support on the NHS. Our mental health services are stretched beyond their capacity which means children and young people are often left without the support they desperately need. Be Free Campaign offers immediate support through their youth led work, reaching over 1,000 children and young people every year.

In 2024, over 80% of young people Be Free Campaign reached were able to identify the signs of mental ill health and how to access support when they need it and 66% of young people went on to use coping mechanisms and tools they've learnt to take control of their mental health and wellbeing.

Be Free Campaign believes a better future for mental health is possible through giving more young people access to the tools they need at the earliest opportunity by providing their support free at point of access to ensure all children and young people can go on to become and stay mentally well.

Be Free Campaign don't receive any government funding, their work relies upon the generosity of those who want to improve the future of mental health for children and young people. Donating isn't only making a difference to a charity, it's joining a movement for a better future.
