Karin & Simon's story :

Our son Kielan was diagnosed at 7 years of age with 22q11 syndrome. 22q11 is a syndrome that starts when a tiny part of one of your chromosomes is missing. There are more than 180 ways 22q11 can affect your body and mind, making everyday life tasks very difficult.

Without the help we received from 22q11 Ireland, we don’t know where we would be today. The support and guidance we received for Kielan were simply invaluable. They are always there to support the many families who need their help & advice during what can be a difficult time!

This charity is made possible by the many volunteers who work tirelessly & selflessly to ensure families are supported through research and an unfunded 22q11 clinic in Crumlin Hospital.
