Kids get books, in memory of Jeff Norton Trimble
Donation protected
As we are approaching the one-year anniversary of losing my dad, Jeff "Norton" Trimble, we would like to make a donation in his name to the London ON chapter of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Fund.
Dad was not a big "gift" guy, favouring to ask for acts of service or gifts that supported those who needed it more than him. I can't tell you how many goats have been purchased in his name, but there are a LOT.
A man of many vices, one that he passed on to his kids was his love of reading. He never went anywhere without a book, and if he did, he made sure there were books he could read - he even had his own bookshelf at my house for his visits!
On a day that will be exceptionally difficult for not only his family, but also his friends, his adopted children, his colleagues (and so on), I am hoping we can provide some light and make a difference for many London children who will have the chance to become lifelong readers, just like he was.
Our goal is to raise 1000$ to be donated on November 12, 2022.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a community book-gifting program devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children. Registered children, ages 0 to 5 years old, are mailed a high quality, age-appropriate book monthly - free of charge to the family. These books foster family reading time, a love of books and help boost early literacy.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
