Kick Cancer’s Butt for Amanda & Julie’s B-Days
Alright y’all, we are back and better than ever for my 39th birthday, raising funds again for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in honor of so many amazing folks that have been touched unfortunately by this insidious disease.

Y’all might not know my story; hi, I’m Amanda Glenn-Bradley (aka AGB) the loud librarian from a tiny town in North Carolina who appeared on ABC’s The Chase in September 2021, snort-laughed over faux dog testicles, and almost took down James Holtzhauer in honor of my amazing parents. I lost my dad, William “Bill” Glenn, to complications from pancreatic cancer on August 3, 2020. Ever since then I’ve made it part of my mission to kick pancreatic cancer’s butt in honor of him and to help families like mine who have lost loved ones to this heinous disease.
Over the last year I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know some of the coolest folks on the ‘net in the quiz/game show community, figure out some awesome physical and mental health things (woo!), and keep on moving onward, upward, and ever forward (like Dad would remind me to do, that dang turkey). Since launching my first fundraiser in 2021, I lost another important person to me to pancreatic cancer; one of my dear friends and favorite coworkers at UNC Asheville before she moved onto the beaches of UNC Wilmington, Stephanie Franklin.
So this year, we’re raising funds in honor of everyone who has ever lost any one to this dang disease.
This is for Stephanie’s family and friends.
This is for Jean Krause, my middle school librarian and one of the many people who inspired me to go into the field I’m in now, and her daughter Melissa and her family.
This is for John Wilson, my younger cousin-in-love Matthew’s dad, and his mom Caroline and his whole family.
This is for my coworker Vicki Fox’s daddy.
This is for Chaser and one of the J! GOATs (and rocker of many a bow tie) Brad Rutter’s dad.
This is for all of us who have lost someone we loved to this disease. We can and will make a difference.
We knocked it out of the PARK in 2021, raising a total of $1,280 over the year. Our initial goal is $390 (because hi, 39th birthday), and I’m excited to see how high we can fly.
Love all y’all, and enjoy every sandwich.
