Now more than ever, the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry needs the help of the community to help those who are less fortunate. Please join me in raising money for the food pantry, located in Northern Westchester. Since February, the number of families seeking help weekly has doubled from 320 to 665. Although in-person food distribution has been temporarily discontinued until social distancing guidelines are relaxed, the Pantry is expanding their Home Delivery Program to our vulnerable seniors and the medically inbound. The need for food assistance has never been greater in Northern Westchester. The devastating financial effects from the Coronavirus will continue to challenge families in need for a long time even after life begins to return to normal. The Mt. Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry serves families from Mt. Kisco as well as from Armonk, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Chappaqua, Cross River, Croton Falls, Goldens Bridge, Katonah, Millwood, North Salem, Pleasantville, Pound Ridge, Purdys, Sleepy Hollow, South Salem, Thornwood, Vista, and Waccabuc. I am also asking grocery stores in our area if they would be willing to participate in a food drive where a donation bin would be set up in their store for customers to purchase a non-perishable item and then place it in the bin. I will pick up the donated items on a regular basis and bring them to the Pantry. If you are or know of a grocery store manager whom I can contact, please email me at [email redacted]. Thank you for your support in helping our neighbors through this very challenging time! Please Help Spread the Word!
