Kiah’s 23rd Birthday - Giving back to the Community

Hi everyone! My name is Kiah, I am a 22 year old from Shropshire. This Friday (November 1st) it is going to be my 23rd Birthday(I feel old, is that bad to say?! ). Usually we associate birthdays with receiving right, and rightfully so it is your birthday after all ! BUT after 22 years of the day being focused around me, all I really want this year is to give back to the Community ❤️

I want to dedicate my day to helping the ever growing number of homeless people stuck surviving the streets of Birmingham.

I am kindly asking for funds to put towards gloves, scarves, blankets, hats etc… I’m also going to go around some local charity shops this week to ask if they will donate a coat or any warm clothing items they’re willing to give.

This isn’t something I’m doing as something just to ‘make myself look good’…

We too often forget how easily it could be you or me faced with this situation, failed by our money pinching government, left to fend for ourselves. Now more than ever, I feel is the time to come together in community to create the changes we want to see, rather than leaving it in the hands of the power greedy. Me doing this may only be of small impact in the grand scheme of things, but it’s the ripple effect that acts like this create is what truly matters. To inspire and encourage hope, connection, understanding and love in a world that, let’s be honest, so desperately needs it!

I know everyone’s under pressure at the moment with finances due to the cost of living crisis, even if you can spare a £1, I’d be so grateful! ❤️❤️❤️

Ive gone quite ambitious with the funding target, but go big or go home right! Every single penny will be spend supporting the homeless and I will keep all receipts to prove it.
