Hi, this is Carrie (Kiah’s mom). I have been asked a few times about a go fund me. I didn’t feel it was time yet for me to make one but the time has come. As you probably know my son is 8 years old, and on hospice. They are giving us hours to days or up to a week is all we will have left as he will be entering heaven. Since Kiah’s traumatic birth he has suffered through 11 brain surgeries. Due to his health condition, no insurance agency has ever let us take a life insurance policy out on him. I think that should be against the law. But anyway, I want to humbly ask for your help for me and my family. I will no longer work until after the funeral. And then we have no life insurance policy so our bills are overwhelming. Also people have asked me how they can help. Of course this is one way but another way is supporting my family. Just come sit with us, or tell us how Kiah has changed your life. If you’re local, it’s meaning a lot to have visitors. Especially while we still have Kiah with us. He stays asleep, and is not alert but I know he can feel love. Bailee is hurting and if you have any ideas on how we can make this transition easier on her and help her in any way possible I’d appreciate that. She is Kiah’s 10 year old sister. We are doing counseling but I’m asking if you know of a trip or a gift, big or small to make her smile, that helps gives me strength too. To see her being strong and surviving. Thank you for praying, supporting, giving, loving, and guiding us the best way you know how.
I will update here and definitely will give lots of updates on Facebook. Thank you all again, for everything you have done. My biggest wish right now is to give him a BIG celebration of life. I’m holding him as I’m typing this. I’m smiling because any minute he is going to get to meet Jesus!! I’m so happy for him. He will finally be able to walk, eat, talk, play, etc.
If you can’t give, I would really appreciate you sharing our go fund me. And thanks for being understanding when I wanted to wait til the right time to start it. Your prayers mean the world to us.
We love you Kiah Bear!
