On October 25th, 2025 , around 6:04 PM, a fire broke out in our apartment building after a lightning strike. We first noticed the smell of burning wood, and upon stepping outside, we saw smoke rising. We immediately evacuated our family and called 911, while us and another resident went door-to-door to make sure everyone made it out safely.
Thanks to quick action and God’s grace, all residents are safe — but unfortunately, every unit, including ours, has been damaged and boarded up.
We were able to recover a few essentials and are currently working with the Red Cross for emergency support. However, our apartment has since been declared uninhabitable, and we’ve lost all of our furniture, kitchen equipment, and household items. We were able to grab some clothings items but not all.
We are in touch with our complex management about transferring to another unit, but there’s no set timeline.
We are doing everything we can to rebuild and provide stability for our family. Any contribution — big or small — will help us replace basic necessities like clothing, furniture, cookware, food, and bedding as we start over.
We’re truly thankful for the prayers, kind words, and support we’ve already received. This has been an incredibly difficult time, but we remain hopeful and grateful to still have what matters most — each other.
Thank you for helping us get back on our feet. ❤️
