KHCC After School Special Needs Program
Donation protected
Hi Everyone -
I hope this note finds you and your families well.
The Autism Community and the programs that serve it are of special interest to me. I have seen the great impact that these social and recreational programs have on kids and young adults especially my brother Zachary. As a result of this, I have been volunteering at the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center in the Bronx. The Center provides incredible resources such as meals, tutoring, and recreational activities These programs provide a much-needed respite for families and caregivers as well as providing the participants a fun time.
The Center’s Director of Special Needs has said that their most needed items are gaming systems such as a PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch as they help kids on the Autism Spectrum connect through common interests. With the help of our friends, family and community, we are hoping to make their “gaming dreams” come true.
Below is the to a fundraising site I have created. Every dollar donated will go directly to this project and will be immensely appreciated by the KHCC and their community. Throughout my time volunteering, I have been fortunate to watch the joy in the children’s faces when something as simple as a new gym activity is introduced. These gaming systems will have an incredibly helpful impact. Thank you, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Hannah Moss
