Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh
My name is Gurdial Singh, a school teacher from Coventry, and I am excited to announce the establishment of the Khalsa Youth Club for Sikh boys aged 14 and over. This club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where our youth can have fun, learn about Sikhi, and build a supportive network that they can rely on throughout their lives.
A significant issue in our community is the lack of support for young males who often feel isolated and unable to talk about their struggles. Tragically, we have seen an increase in the number of young men from our community taking their own lives. Recently, I became aware of the loss of a beautiful young Sikh child, which has underscored the urgent need for support for teenage males. We cannot let the loss of our brothers and sons be in vain. This youth club will offer a space for boys to connect, share experiences, and learn how to navigate life's challenges while having fun and deepening their understanding of Sikhi.
The funds we raise will go towards purchasing equipment such as table tennis and pool tables, basketball nets, football goals, computers, TVs, and other sports gear to enhance our activities.
We are set to launch the club on Friday, November 15, with weekly sessions from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Sikh Family Centre, Cross Roads.
I invite you to support this important initiative by donating and helping spread the word to any boys who would benefit from joining. Thank you for your support!
