Victims of the earthquake

We at the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Quebec (CPFQ) are starting this fundraiser to support the “Sawa” initiative. “Sawa” meaning In this Together.

The Sawa initiative has demonstrated the impact which a community can have on those affected by the catastrophic earthquake in Syria. This campaign has gathered a large sum of donations for victims of the earthquake crisis.

This includes:

- clothes for women, men, children and babies

- On counter Medication

- Baby food and diapers

- Dry-canned food

- Blankets

- Sleeping bags and tents

- Monetary donations

To be able to ship these directly, the requirements are to purchase 4 containers to be shipped to Syria. The shipment will be carried out by a CGM-CMA. They have offered us a discounted price at 2,500 USD/40 HC (40 foot Hard Cube). The method of shipment will go from Montreal to the Latakia port in Syria where it will be received by Kibaruna, an NGO based in Lattakia that will be responsible for giving out the donations.

Please help us raise the required amount so that we could get the shipments to our families in Syria as soon as possible. The death toll of the earthquake affecting Turkey and Syria has surpassed 46,000 deaths. Hundreds of families have been displaced with no help whatsoever. We urge you to donate whatever amount you are capable of, to deliver these items to help those in need. This has become a humanitarian crisis that we all need to care for and help raise awareness. Together, we can truly make a difference and help those displaced and in need of aid.
