Kev’s Last Wish

Sanctuary Military Veteran, who served with the 22nd Cheshire Regiment, Kevin Smith, sadly died young (age 42), of a heart attack on Sunday 1st December 2024. He was a devoted husband, brother and father.

His last wish to raise funds for The Seven Stars Sanctuary on the Wirral, where he had trained in martial arts and was the base for his beloved Sanctuary Military Veterans Association.

Kevin supported The Seven Stars Sanctuary for over 15 years and attributed his happiness and previous good health to his involvement with The Sanctuary and the good souls within. Kev not only trained himself, but brought his children along for martial arts training and even his dogs along for The Sanctuary’s obedience training, which Kevin really enjoyed. He was a leading light in the sanctuary and was loved by all, and is sadly missed by all.

Before his death, Kevin had several meetings with Sanctuary Director Brian McKinney, expressing his wish to raise funds to keep The Sanctuary, continuing its good work for years to come.

Kevin’s family have asked for this page to be created to fulfil Kev’s Last Wish.
