On February 9th my brother, Kevin Cegielski was admitted to the River Falls Hospital and later transferred to United Hospital in St Paul. After many tests, the diagnosis was severe sepsis in his blood, knee and spine. He had several procedures to remove the sepsis from his spine and his knee and IV anti-biotics for 7 weeks to remove it from his blood. His condition was very serious for several weeks but happy to say he was discharged on March 14th and as of this morning, his blood is completely clear of the infection. To add to the financial stress that this health issue caused, he was laid off from his full time job in December and has had very little income since. His attitude is positive and he's confident to get back to work soon. I offered to start a fund to get him caught up as his COBRA insurance coverage isn't great and bills are now piling up.
