Kevin Love the Pomeranian and his mom Jennifer

Hi, we are the Loves. We are raising money for Kevin Love the Pomeranian and his mom Jennifer. This is their story.

 

Last week Kevin and Jennifer were attacked by a pit bull in their yard. The dog got lose from her yard, came into Jennifer’s yard, got ahold of Kevin and would not let go. Jennifer heard Kevin crying and ran outside where she saw Kevin being attacked. She immediately began to wrestle and fight with the dog to get Kevin loose. She tried to use her body to shield Kevin but the pit would not give up her attack. Jennifer even tried to bite the dog’s ear in an effort to get her to let go of Kevin.

 

They struggled for what felt like an eternity until a neighbor was able to pull the dog off. Another neighbor was able to rush Kevin to the vet and Jennifer to the emergency room.

 

I am glad to report that Kevin and Jennifer are both making a recovery. Kevin has multiple severe lacerations on his shoulder and back with a number of puncture wounds. He has tubes inserted in his wounds for drainage, but has a good prognosis.

 

Jennifer has multiple bites and puncture wounds as well. She, unfortunately, had to stay overnight in the hospital and have a heart procedure the next day before the doctors would release her. They were very lucky their injuries were not worse.

 

The pit bull was surrendered to the sheriff and placed on a 10 day hold. The dog’s owner was fined $150 and told to keep his dog tethered which means this dog will return to their neighborhood.

 

Jennifer risked her life without hesitation to save Kevin from the grips of a pit bull. Surely, anyone that has a fur baby can imagine the terror of seeing your fur baby in a vicious attack from another animal. She reacted and did everything she could to save her dog, and it worked. That is true love for your baby.

We would like to raise money to help with the vet, hospital, and other bills for both Kevin and Jennifer. Jennifer has already missed a week of work due to the puncture wounds and bruises on her arms, hands and torso. She also suffered injuries to her mouth and will likely need dental care as well.
