Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in memory of Alan Raythorn

Hello everyone,
As many of you know my brother, Alan Raythorn, passed away unexpectedly in Melbourne on 21st February 2024. We had no idea how and if we were going to get him home to Ireland or even where to start this process. We were in shock and consumed with grief but the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) took care of the logistics and linked in directly with the teams in Melbourne and helped to relieve the pressure. I cannot express how grateful I am to Colin Bell and all the wonderful people who work tirelessly with this charity.

We are hoping to raise money in aid of the KBRT and to try to give back as much as possible. Some of Alan’s friends are running a half marathon on the 22nd September to help raise money for this invaluable charity. Unfortunately, the sad truth is that other families will find themselves in similar situations in the future and we want to ensure that those families can receive the same level of care that we did and enable the KBRT to continue their immeasurable work.
We would really appreciate any donation big or small to this wonderful charity who are working day in, day out to reunite families during the most difficult times of their lives.

Thank you in advance for your contribution, it really means so much to me.
Lorna

*If anyone would like to join in the half marathon, please contact Warren Doyle or Grainne Garry.
