Last summer I traveled to Palestine and Israel on a mission trip. While in a land that has such deep spiritual roots, I witnessed a land torn and devastated with hate but a people resilient with hope. My life has been forever changed by my time in the Holy Land. Because of that trip I am resolved to continue to seek out and assist those in need as well as to share their stories.
Therefore, this June I will be traveling to Kenya to work with local community leaders. Although this is a mission trip I am not doing this through an organized group but all on my own accord with the support of the Wesley Korir family. The goal of the trip is to assist in developing schools in Kenya as well as bringing in supplies to Kenyan communities.
To do this mission I need your support. First and foremost, I ask for your prayers that the trip will be successful. I will be in Kenya from June 2nd to the 22nd. So please keep me and those I will be serving in your prayers: prayers for a chance to serve those in need, prayers for safety, and prayers for an opportunity to have a successful mission trip. Without prayer, the trip will fail.
This mission trip is also in need of tremendous financial support and I am committed to raising resources for the trip. The first thing I need to secure is transportation of supplies (clothing and school supplies) from Louisville to Kenya. I have already secured numerous boxes of new clothing and school supplies that I am excited to bring with me (at this point an entire pallet's worth.) I could use your finacial support for the cost of shipping.
Additionally, since I will be working with developing schools your contributions will also work in providing stronger educational opportunities for those Kenyan schools that I work with.
I would be very grateful if can support me in a financial way. I am hoping that you will be part of this mission with me. Your contribution can be for whatever you can support as every dollar will make a difference in the trip.
