Hi friends!
From June 28 to July 12, a group of Young Professional women, including myself, have volunteered for a two week service project in Kenya, where we will be assisting with the repairing and building for Limuru Mission School, while also being able to teach primary students extracurricular activities and hygiene practices.
In the hope to raise as much funds as possible towards the project itself, I've decided to dedicate the below activities towards the project:
- Spartan Sprint: May 6, which will be running with some of my awesome oztag team-mates
- Sydney Morning Herald Marathon Relay: May 21, where both Macy (my energetic relay partner) and Katie (running solo in the Half Marathon!) are also involved in the service project
All donations received will go towards the school and for the purchase of supplies for the students, such as Hygiene packs (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and towels), Stationery Packs (notebooks, pens/pencils, school bag and pencil case etc) and painting/construction supplies for repairs around the school.
No matter what amount, every dollar will go a very long way, and these children and teachers will be so grateful for the effort and kindness that everyone has offered :) Not to mention us girls travelling on the trip! We are so thankful already for people's generosity.
Thank you very much in advance for your kindness and time!
