This August, I am traveling to Kenya to volunteer with the Light of Maasai, a charity based in Rombo on the Kenya-Tanzania border.

Their mission is to alleviate the poverty and hardship of everyday life among the 40,300 people living in the area by tackling issues such as education, water, health care, FGM/Early marriage, and feeding programs.

Having volunteered with the Light of Maasai in 2018 and 2019, I have seen firsthand the impact of their work. During my previous trips, I helped build a kitchen for a local school, which significantly improved the students' quality of life and their ability to receive an education. This year, I am determined to expand this effort by constructing three more kitchens with a team for schools in the area.
