Kenton Business Association - Denver Ave Plaza

Donation protected
The Kenton Business Association has worked with PBOT's Healthy Streets / Healthy Business Program to create a temporary outdoor dining/retail/services plaza along 2 blocks of N. Denver Ave (b/w N. Schofield & N. McClellan). This full street closure will create a safe, distanced plaza for neighbors and residents to come out & enjoy Kenton's shops & restaurants.

This Plaza will run from August thru September. The plan includes a significant cost to create safe outdoor spaces with creative amenities including a painted mural down the street, sanitation stations, outdoor art installations, and a gallery that will raise funds for artists also hard hit by this year's COVID shutdown.

Money raised will go towards the creation and maintenance of the Plaza for the next two months. It's going to cost roughly $8,000-$12,000 to install and beautify the outdoor space.

Rough Cost Estimate
Painting Templates & Repurposing Into decorative barricading between programming - ~$6,000
Shading & Plant Elements-  ~$2,000
Paint & Installation Features- ~$1,500
Sanitation & Signage- ~$600
Public Seating- ~$1000
Miscl Cost & Cleanup - ~$500

This is a community effort, and every dollar you can pitch in will create a beautiful, safe space in the heart of Kenton for you to come & enjoy during the Summer! Many of the semi-permanent fixtures (sanitation stations/seating) will be reused as improvements during the Kenton Street Fair and other yearly programming run by the Kenton Business Association.
