Kent County RBL Welfare

We are very proud that Kent County Royal British Legion is celebrating its centenary this year. For the last one hundred years, we have been supporting the ex-service community locally and nationally.

Kent is the gateway to Britain and has a very large ex-service community. Kent County RBL Welfare specifically supports those within the county.

I have been involved with the Royal British Legion since I joined in Kent 27 years ago. Through my voluntary work at both local and county levels, I have seen first-hand the hugely beneficial effect of welfare work. I am proud to serve on my Branch and County Committees.

To celebrate the centenary of Kent County RBL, and to ensure that we continue to support those in need into the next century, I have challenged myself to walk from my Branch through to The Royal British Legion in Aylesford, which is the heart of the Royal British Legion community. I have always fancied doing a marathon (26.2 miles), but my route will cover 30 miles which I hope to walk in 11.5 hours. As an RBL Standard Bearer, I have decided to do this by carrying a full-size Branch flag on a pole. However, this is not our actual Branch Standard as it is too precious to take out on this long trek.

I would be so grateful for any support that you are able to give to this cause. I know first-hand how important Kent County RBL Welfare is.
