My name is Pim and I am fundraising for KENRIC. KENRIC was set up in 1965 as a social group for lesbians and is possibly the oldest group of its kind. It has done fabulous work over the decades in supporting individuals and helping people make friends and connect.

During the 2020-21 lock downs KENRIC provided a lifeline for me. Without their online activities I would have been totally isolated. I know how important that work is and how it benefits those who cannot attend events in person for whatever reason. Ensuring well being, defeating isolation and loneliness, helping members maintain long standing friendships and bringing fun to people's lives really matters.

The funds raised would help us bring in guest speakers / entertainers, run special online events, increase the number of events across the year and build a high quality programme that meets the changing needs of KENRIC members. This work will keep people together as part of the KENRIC family, many of whom have contributed time to others over the years and deserve our support.

Between 19 January and 15 February 2026 I will be walking 100 miles in and around Edinburgh on behalf of KENRIC. I am planning to get to Fife, climb up Arthur's Seat, stride the Royal Mile and do some local pottering. Look out for updates!
