Hi everyone, my name is Daisy.
Wendy was my best friend, my beloved sister, a devoted wife, and an incredible mother. She passed away far too soon after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), and our hearts are completely broken as we learn to live in a world without her.
In April 2024, Wendy was diagnosed with AML and faced it with extraordinary courage. She endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, countless medications, a stem cell transplant, and complication after complication. Even when the cancer returned and she developed a serious fungal infection on top of everything else, she remained brave, loving, and fiercely present for the people she loved most. She fought not just for herself, but for her family — especially her beautiful 3‑year‑old son, Callum, who was always at the centre of her world.
To support her through treatment, the whole family uprooted their lives to be by her side 24/7. They relocated to be closer to the hospital and spent the past year moving between Airbnbs and temporary accommodation so that Kenny, Callum, and my parents could be with her every single day through the treatments, frightening setbacks, and precious moments of hope. Those relocations came with huge and unexpected costs on top of everything else they were already facing.
Now, Wendy leaves behind her loving husband, Kenny, and their sweet 3‑year‑old son, Callum. Kenny is facing the unimaginable: grieving the loss of his wife while trying to provide stability, love, and security for their little boy on his own.
We are raising funds to help support Kenny and Callum during this heartbreaking time. Your donations will go directly to Kenny to help with:
• Funeral and memorial expenses for Wendy
• Helping to repay some of the heavy costs from a year of hospital relocations and Airbnb stays
• Providing practical and financial stability for Callum as Kenny navigates life as a sole parent in the months ahead
No amount can ease their grief or bring Wendy back, but any contribution — no matter how small — will make a real difference. If you are not in a position to donate, sharing this page or keeping Kenny and Callum in your thoughts and prayers is deeply appreciated.
On behalf of our whole family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and support during this devastating time.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to Kenny. Your love and compassion are helping to carry Kenny and Callum through their darkest days.
Love Daisy xx
