Kenneth of Irish Channel/ LGD (street sweeper)

Everyday/morning I always see Kenneth sweeping the sidewalks, streets and keeping the Irish Channel and Lower Garden District as clean as possible. I learned that Kenneth does this on his own every single day. Kenneth is not getting paid by anyone or any local merchant. I am not sure where he gets his broom, trash bags, or gloves but know he has been using the same materials everyday.
Kenneth is extremely quiet and keeps to himself as he goes about keeping our city and neighborhoods clean. Many people just walk past and pay no attention to him. I was blind to this for some time as well until one day I was wondering who is paying this man as I see him on many different streets and blocks. That is why I decided to get some more information to learn about Kenneth.
As a community lets give back to someone who has been doing this for years just to help keep our neighborhoods clean. My goal is to raise $2000 for Kenneth and give this to him as a thank you from the IC and LGD neighbors. Anything helps and is grateful and I know this will probably mean the world to Kenneth.
Just think how many people trash our streets or how many parades cause debris that is not picked up by the city. Kenneth does a remarkable job and the least we can do is rally together and just say thanks.
I hope you will contribute to Kenneth- You don't ever see him asking for a hand out or begging for money and he is doing something for us, our city and neighborhoods.
