Help Kennedy To Find Her Footing

I have coached Kennedy for a year and a half. She has no family to support her; she is partially the author of her own misfortune but she is 17 years old and trying to get her life on track. She moved to Ottawa in November to be with a boy but he was emotionally and physically abusive and now she is back in Toronto.

We are working to get her a place to live and to give her a cushion to get her life on track. We are working with community groups to assist but we are under the gun to keep her housed in January and perhaps February. She has a bit of money but not enough to cover two months' rent out of the gate. She is a hard worker - she is already working for a contractor as well as in a second part time job - but she needs time to build up her savings.

So ... we are looking for help for her. She is a bright young woman who has suffered pretty horribly over the last couple of years. She has a good heart despite all of this; I have no doubt that once she is stable that she will be able to make a good life for herself.

Any amount will help. All monies raised will be put towards rent or food. Please include your email so that I can keep you appraised of expenditures as well as of her progress.
