Hi everyone! My name is Johnny Kress, and I’m raising money for a cause that means a lot to me. Today in the United States Immigrants, Refugees, and Asylum seekers are harshly treated and being ripped apart from their families and deported without due process. It is heartbreaking to see families fear of being separated at any given moment, and this is something the Kendama community does not stand for. In february I usually do a challenge where I post a kendama trick every day, but I wanted to use that challenge as a way to raise awareness and support for these injustices.

So for every 1 dollar donated, I will be doing a 10 tap. 10 tap is a highly advanced level Kendama trick, only the top players in the world have completed it. I am trying to raise enough money to do 1000 10 taps in the month of February!

Every $1 = Johnny does 10 taps

Kendama is a skill toy originating from Japan over 100 years ago. I have been playing Kendama for 12 years, and I have met lots of amazing people through Kendama. Kendama has made a very positive impact on my life, and I want to use Kendama to spread awareness of the tragedies happening today and to support those in need.

The charity all donations will be going to is:
WASHINGTON IMMIGRANT SOLIDARITY NETWORK

Today, WAISN is home to the only statewide hotline dedicated to serving all Washingtonians regardless of immigration status, and the only community-funded immigration bond fund in the Pacific Northwest. Our work includes mutual aid, grassroots organizing, and advocating for bold policies that protect and expand immigrant rights.
For nearly a decade, WAISN has been organizing across Washington to defend immigrant rights, respond to the needs of directly-impacted communities, and build lasting power — one campaign, policy, and program at a time.

Please note that this page is not managed by Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network. To donate directly, go to https://waisn.org/donate-to-waisn/

Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.

If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
