Kells Lane School ball court resurface

Hi we are the Kells Lane School Fundraising Team (KLSF), a group of parents and volunteers who organise events and campaigns to raise additional funds for Kells Lane Primary School. We all know school budgets are really tight and because of the location and layout of our school there are very few grants or additional funding available to help purchase anything outside of what’s deemed absolutely necessary.

With no school fields or green recreation areas, the existing ball court is our only real sports focused area and is used by the children for a variety of activities. Unfortunately the current concrete court is reaching the end of it’s life and is in real need of a new, all weather, child friendly surface that can be lined to provide a safe and workable area for current and future pupils to learn in and enjoy!.

Working along side the school we are looking for your support to help raise those much needed funds to resurface the ball court. This will provide a safe arena for our children, reduce accidents and give them an area they can be really proud of.

We have engaged with the school and they are fully supportive of the KLSF team reaching out to parents, carers, families, ex pupils, businesses and the general public to see if we can, as a community, make this dream a reality for Kells Lane School. Quotes so far are in the region of £20,000 so it’s no small undertaking to achieve our goal, but any support you can give no matter how small would be massively appreciated!

We will be creating a contributors wall of fame which will have pride of place near the court, where a donation of £100 or more will give you a tile with your or your business’s name on it as a permanent thank you for your support in making this happen!
