Keith's Urgent Medical Needs and Family Support
Donation protected
My name is laurynn. Im making this for my parents and younger siblings. My father Keith is the hardest working, kindest and most giving person you'd ever meet. Hes always worked at least 2 jobs, a full time superviser at wrenthem state and a successful contractor as his own side business. Hes not one to ask for help, so im making this for him in hopes to relieve some financial stress off of them while hes been going through this since october. He is not his best right now and all we are praying and hoping for is for him to get better.
On Oct 29, Keith was brought in by ambulance for severe abdominal pain. CT showed an incarcerated hernia which required emergency surgery. The surgery was successful. He also had a small bowel obstruction that was resolved as well. 8 days after the surgery, he ended up back in the hospital for another small bowel obstruction. Then 5 days after being discharged, again another small bowel obstruction . On top of all this going on, he has blocked arteries in both legs and he’s left arm that’s needs immediate intervention, but has not been able to get these angiograms done because of what’s been happening with these small bowel obstructions. So far he had his right leg done in a couple of weeks. He’s supposed to have his left leg done. But he is not eating well he’s afraid to eat. He started losing weight too fast. He’s extremely frail. Hes lost over 40 pounds in a month and in this past week when we saw the G.I. surgeon he lost an additional 8 pounds. He was taken to the hospital again and found he had diverticulitis on top on everything.. He spent his Christmas in the hospital with visits from his family. His life has completly changed from this.. Now his doctors are considering him having a colonoscopy to try to figure out his left bowel and why things aren't operating as well as they should be. I know times are tough and especially after the holiday, but anything helps. If you cant donate please send some encouraging words of support and prayers to my dad and family. My mom has been picking up 12 hour shifts at the hospital, also trying to balance being there for her husband and supporting 3 other kids at home.
