Dear Family and Friends,
As I am writing this, my father has been released from prison for one day, 21 hours, 19 minutes, and 15 seconds! We are so happy to have him home! He is acclimating and enjoying himself! His first request was to go to his mother’s hometown of Eminence and jump in the river there, where we all learned to swim and went growing up. We did that and got an ice cream at the Dairy Shack! What a great first day. It is the first of many days.
With that being said, our family could use some help with his re-entry into society.
Any funds donated will be used for travel expenses, lodging expenses, food costs, and other miscellaneous costs while the family travels from the prison in Farmington to Springfield and to other places in the Western District of Missouri.
Yesterday, Thursday, September 25th, my dad had his first meeting with his federal parole officer. Because my father’s federal parole officer has said it is not okay for him to travel to the Eastern district of Missouri, where STL is, we are having to change our party plans and recreation plans to something more local near Caroline and dad’s home in Ava, MO. This has resulted in a couple of cancellation fees that I have to had absorb myself. I would like to recoup some of these costs as well.
I have driven from my home in California and could use some gas and motel money, plus an iced coffee or two for the drive back. ;) Your girl has held it down and held it together for a very long time!
Funds will also be used for things like clothing and some sports equipment for dad. Caroline and I have gotten a good start, but anything helps.
Any leftover funds will be directly given to Keith and Caroline.
Love to every single one of you who feel called to help us get to the finish line. My dad appreciates it. Caroline appreciate it. Marissa appreciates it. And you darn well know I do! I will try to share as much as I can in the interim and during our celebrations.
Love,
Elise
